Anti Sexual Harassment Cell

KR Technical College is keen to promote Anti Sexual Harassment for Students and Faculties for this reason the IQAC of the college has proposed the formation of this Anti Sexual Harassment Cell in the college.

Sexual Harassment is a form of discrimination that includes gender harassment, unwanted sexual attention and sexual coercion. The reports of sexual harassment that have illustrated just how pervasive this discriminatory behavior is in our society. Women who have remained silent for years are now coming forward and sharing their experiences with sexual harassment that include lewd or denigrating comments, hostile or demeaning jokes, professional sabotage, repeated unwelcome sexual advances, groping, demands for sexual favors and other offensive and discriminatory actions or language.

Vision & Mission:

We envision a safe environment and protection against sexual harassment of women at KRTC and for redressed of complaints of sexual harassment and to ensure gender equality in KRTC. And we provide a safe workplace for Female employees and also for the students.

Objective:

  • To execute and coordinate the development activity of the college.
  • To achieve the college vision and mission.
  • To enhance the quality initiatives of the college.
  • Prepare students and employee welfare activities in the institute.

Outcome:

  • This helps the college management to stop this kind of activities in the college.
  • The permanent mechanism helps us to continually evaluate this kind of activities.
  • After the implementation of the Anti Sexual Harassment committee at ground level we have been able to make our female staff and girl students feel safe.
  • Now we create a safe and healthy environment for professional and for the girl students there is no gender discrimination in the college.
  • Timely we organize an awareness program to promote gender equality in the college.
