MSc Botany is a master’s course which deals with study of plants, their characteristics and various related aspects in detail. Students who want to make career in plant biology or genetics can take up Master of Science (MSc) in Botany. Various universities and colleges offer full time MSc Botany course. The duration of the course is 2-year. Some univerity also offer 5-yaer integrated M.Sc-PHD course in Botany.
The duration of full-time MSC Zoology programme is two years and that of the part-time or distance learning programmes range from three to four years. Being a postgraduate programme, the scope of M.sc in Zoology is vaster, more detailed and specific in nature. MSc Zoology students can choose core subjects and electives as per their career objective and area of interest.
