Department of Zoology
The department of Zoology offers two courses: B.Sc. & M.Sc. Zoology. The department has highly qualified faculty, a state of the art lecture theatre and well-equipped laboratories. The department also boasts an elaborate museum with additional paraphernalia to meet the requirements of the practical components of the curriculum.
We believe in the all-round development of students and encourage them to participate in both academic and extracurricular activities. A vast array of academic activities like guest lectures by eminent scientists, seminars, symposiums, workshops, and lab visits are organized all throughout the year by the department to complement the classroom teaching. The faculty undertakes national and international projects on a regular basis to enhance their research acumen and academic skills. Students also have the opportunities to participate in these projects. Moreover, students perform a wide variety of experiments in the laboratories to reinforce their concepts in the disciplines offered.
