About Department:

Our Department is one of the earliest Departments started in this college. Back in 2008, when computer science was little known and the word IT didn’t exist in this our district, a Three-years program was started towards the B.Sc.(Computer Science) , B.Com(Computer Application) and one year post-graduate program PGDCA. The DCA, BCA program was launched in 2008, the M.Sc.(IT) and M.Sc.(CS) degree program in 2011, and year 2012 DCA program is Launched. Since the year of establishment the students of the department have always touched the Skies. Since the commencement of the very first batch the students have got themselves listed on the top positions in the university merit list.

Objectives: 

• Computer Science Department is a teaching department that aims at providing quality education in Computer Science and Application.
• Today Information Technology has become pervasive, while its parent, Computing Science, has become hard to find.  Instead of becoming specialty providers for the IT industry or mass producers of vocationally trained personnel, our Department has chosen to take the road less traveled.  We continue to emphasize the pristine science that lies under the diverse aspects of computing.  This is the single most important feature of the education offered here.
• We want the education imparted to our students to be the basis of a lifetime of learning.
