Since the foundation of the college, it has offered facilities and services to SC/ST/OBC & Minority students. In aCCOtdance with the UGCs guidelines for the strict implementation of the reservation policy in colleges, a special cell decided to established in this session to support students from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Committee (OBC), and Minority communities in order to improve their academic performance and to maximize their development in their personal and social lives. This cell will seek to safeguard the interests Of emPloyees and students who fall under the “Reserved Categories” or who identify as minorities. This cell will also keep SC, ST, OBC, and Minority students informed about scholarships and stipends offered by the State or Central Government, the UGC, and other agencies.
Vision & Mission:
Ensuring equal opportunities for the education of minorities by continuously monitoring reservation policy in the college and making the minority students aware of various scholarship from State Government and UGC.
Objective:
- To implement the SC/ST, OBC, and minority reservation policies in the College.
- To gather information on how admissions policies are being put into practice, to take action in order to meet the goals and targets established by the State Government and the UGC
- To assist the college’s SC/ST students in making the best use of the benefits of the schemes provided by the State Government, Government of India (GOI), and UGC.
- To disseminate GOI and Commission decisions and gather data on course-by-course admissions for candidates who belong to SC/ST, OBC, and Minority.
- To take immediate resolution of complaints regarding problems or occurrences on the college campus. ‘To Keep SC, ST, OBC, and Minority students informed about scholarships and stipends offered by the State or Central Government, the UGC, and other agencies.
- Uphold the rights of students and adhere to reservation rules as stated in the Indian
Outcome:
- No official/faculty members indulge in any kind of discrimination against any community or category of students. If any such incident comes to the notice of the authorities, action should be taken against the erring official/faculty members.
- Enhance equal opportunities for the provision of education to SC, ST,OBC and minority students.
- There will be no prejudice against any community or group of pupils by any official or academic members, Action should be taken against the fault official or faculty member only if the authorities learn of any such incidence.
- Increase chances for equality in the delivery of education to SC/ST/OBC and minority pupils. •Helping SC/ST/OBC and minority students to navigate a variety of challenges and balance their personal and academic demands in college life.
- Counseling services should be made available for any emotional crisis resulting from events occurring on campus• . provide a mechanism to redress the grievance of ST, SC, OBC and Minority students if any.
